About Me

I am an award winning author and screenwriter from Surrey.

THE DEEPEST CUT is my debut novel, adapted from my 2011 play SHANKED. It is a highly emotive story, surrounding the run up to and fall out of a senseless stabbing that resulted from an argument over a missing mobile phone.

It was published by Accent YA in May 2016. It was a Love Reading For Kids "Debut of the Month" in June, and was also picked for their books of 2016 list. In July 2017 it won The Lancashire Book of the Year Award.

I am an experienced workshop facilitator having worked with young people from all backgrounds. I have a keen interest in social issues affecting teenagers and have worked with The Ben Kinsella Trust, The Rob Knox Foundation, my local authority and The Metropolitan Police, among others.

I live in Surrey with my husband and our two sons. We have a Staffy and a Boxer and a black cat who thinks she's boss of everything.
